The Chris King 12x142mm Thru-Axle ISO Disc Rear Hub comes ready to slip into any frame that accepts a 12x142mm thru-axle. It could be cross-country bikes, trail bikes, all-mountain bikes, etc. It doesn't matter the style, only that you're ready to experience a new level of stiffness and security for the rear of your bike.The difference between this hub and their standard 135mm ISO Disc Hub is the absence of the old quick release skewer. The alloy shell is the same, and it uses the same RingDrive freehub system. Most importantly, you'll get the same buzzing-swarm-of-bees sound when you coast. The 12x142mm thru-axle hub uses just that -- a 12mm thru-axle to clamp the rear hub into the frame. It's a great choice for full suspension frames because it will add stiffness and rigidity to a rear triangle full of articulating pivot points.
